Press Bio
Growing up in sunny Philadelphia, Jackson Craig spent his Saturday nights thrashing at deafening basement shows and his Sunday afternoons harmonizing in a quaker meeting choir. Now in his final year at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, Craig has embedded himself in a kinetic scene of young songwriters, filmmakers, dancers, and virtual designers revitalizing New York City in the post-pandemic era. As a true student of “timeless” songwriting, Craig is fluent in the tropes of the past while building towards that innovative auteur status of artists like Bon Iver, Caroline Polachek and Dev Hynes. As a voice for a generation of internet guinea-pigs and social activists, Craig disguises his own philosophy and dissent in buttery harmonies and hypnotic grooves.
